S2S is made possible by the generous contributions of its many volunteers. Volunteer professionals (STEM and non-STEM) from the local community and corporations work side by side with our young students, providing them with support, inspiration, motivation and career advice. The S2S experience reduces student intimidation, makes science more relatable, and allows STEM career paths to be more approachable.
Volunteers in our programs serve as Mentors, Assistant Lab Instructors, and Virtual Laboratory (V-Lab) Volunteers.
Our volunteers come from many sources, practicing STEM Professionals, retired scientists and scientists-in-transition, college students and PhD candidates, teachers, interested community leaders and STEM advocates.
